Wendelin Pressl
Circvs Maximus
Dissection, recomposition, transformation and new-definition are phrases that cross one's mind when it comes to deal with Wendelin Pressl's work. "CIRCUS MAXIMUS" poses questions: about the interaction of politics and religion, the dimension of the universe, about the individual and its situation regarding its milieu. Pressl acts out his topics in using various media: photography, painting, drawing, video or sculpture—which is characteristic for his artistic strategy, that orientates by sorting out possible formal resolutions.
