With her drawings, sculptures, photographs and installations the Austrian concept artist Eva Chytilek poses the well known and difficult questions: where can the edge between art and non-art be found; which possibilities are available to show, shift between and be aware of these thresholds and transitions; is it possible to visualize the relation between object and space or object and context? Eva Chytilek works with elementary, often recycled materials and converts them to simple but cryptic objects. She builds ephemeral ensembles into a space that is not easy to locate and uses different media to cross the levels of reality and representation.
